Dormitory at Mau Jn.. 2nd tip regarding this
As old one is now renovated and has upgraded with better facilities..
It is supposed to be AC dormitory soon and non ac will be as old one but with cabin rooms..
.
So...
more... the Dormitory is fully personal room type, personal charging socket, lights but fans not available on every cabin as cabin is small but fans are at enough height for air flow...
Attached washroom with 1. Indian Style and 2. Western Style..
2 big bathrooms attach with Geyser (working condition)
.
Available on 1st floor with dedicated female dormitory, retiring rooms for double, single with ac one as well..
As usual check in at Enquiry Office but from Pf1 side, take entry directly to the office from door and asked them as from front its crowded for Enquiry plus less space to communicate properly with documents and details ...
After check in take stairs from inside hall opposite to ATM/UTS counter
Go upstairs and a concern person will ask about it and there you go..
On normal days its empty hardly 4-5 ppl as mostly business one took for short period
On exam days or weekends its fully booked almost..
Most important thing bring your own lock & key..
.
Cost me ₹ 95 for 12 hour slot (₹12 extra if booked online)...
For 24 hours i guess its 150 something not sure..
.
Food options available on platform but not proper bhojanalay or restro type, u can take exit and walk for 500m straight towards main road.. you will find every rate, type, taste, menu hotels.. from veg to non veg with costly restro to cheapest roadside one as well..
.
24 * 7
Rickshaw, Auto available ..
Bus stand is on main road, 500 mtrs walk straight towards road after taking exit...
in Mid night shops only open there.. its safe in night to roam now as Gunda Era has been ended since 2017

please wait...Translate to HindiDormitory ko Mau Jn.. ke andar hai. Iski second tip hai.
Purane wale kaafi sudhar gaye hai aur ab better facilities se upgrade hue hai..
Yeh jald hi AC dormitory ban jayega aur non-AC wala purana wala hi rahega, lekin ab cabin rooms ke saath..
.
Toh dormitory ekdum personal room type hai, personal charging socket, lights hai lekin fans har cabin mein available nahi hai kyunki cabin chhota hai, lekin fans kaafi height me hain hawa ke liye..
Ek attached washroom hai jismein 1. Indian style aur 2. Western style hai..
2 bade bathroom mein geyser bhi hai (working condition mein)
.
Yeh 1st floor par available hai, dedicated female dormitory, double ke liye retiring rooms hai, single ke liye bhi hai, AC wala bhi..
Jaise hamesha Enquiry Office mein check-in karte hain, lekin Pf1 ki taraf se entry lekar seedha office mein jana hai, darwaze se. Wahan jaakar unse poochiye kyunki front mein Enquiry ke liye bhid hoti hai aur documents aur details ke liye kam jagah hai...
Check-in ke baad, ATM/UTS counter ke samne hall ke andar se stairs lein.
Upar jao aur wahan ek zimmedar vyakti aapko uski taraf le jayega..
Normal dino mein woh khali rehta hai, jyadatar vyapari logon ne short period ke liye le liya hota hai..
Pariksha ke dinon ya weekend mein almost fully booked hota hai..
Sabse important cheez apna khud ka lock aur key le aao..
.
Mujhe ₹ 95 mein 12 ghante mil gaye the (online book karne par ₹12 extra)..
24 ghante ke liye mujhe lagta hai 150 kuch hai, sure nahi..
.
Khane ke options platform par available hai, lekin proper bhojanalay ya restro type nahi hai, aap exit lekar ja sakte hain aur sidha 500m tak seedha main road ke taraf chal sakte hain.. wahan har rate, type, taste, menu ke hotels mil jayenge.. veg se lekar non-veg tak, costlier restro se saste roadside waale tak..
.
24 * 7
Riksha, auto mil jaega..
Bus stand main road par hai, exit lekar seedha road par chalna hai 500m tak..
Raaton mein wahan sirf dukaan khulti hai.. ab raat mein ghumne ke liye safe hai kyunki Gunda Era 2017 se khatam ho gaya hai
Dhanyavaad

please wait...Show AI ResponseThank you for sharing this valuable information about the dormitory at Mau Junction. It's great to hear that the old dormitory has been renovated and upgraded with better facilities. The upcoming addition of an AC dormitory is also welcome news. It's good to know that each cabin in the dormitory is like a personal room, equipped with a charging socket and lights. Although fans may not be available in every cabin due to space constraints, there are fans installed at a sufficient height for proper air flow.
It's also worth mentioning that the dormitory has attached washrooms with both Indian and Western style toilets. The presence of two big bathrooms with functioning geysers is certainly convenient. The dormitory is located on the 1st floor and there is a dedicated female dormitory as well. Additionally, there are retiring rooms available for double and single occupancy, including one with AC.
To check in to the dormitory, visitors can go to the Enquiry Office from the Platform 1 side and directly enter the office from the door. This allows for better communication with the staff, especially since the front area can get crowded. After check-in, visitors can take the stairs located opposite the ATM/UTS counter to reach the dormitory.
On normal days, the dormitory is usually not busy, with only a few people staying there, mostly for business purposes. However, during exam days or weekends, it tends to be fully booked. It's important to bring your own lock and key for security.
The cost for a 12-hour slot in the dormitory is ₹95 (with an additional ₹12 if booked online). The price for a 24-hour slot is around ₹150, although I'm not entirely sure about the exact amount.
In terms of food options, there are some available on the platform, but if you're looking for a proper dining experience, you can exit the station and walk straight for about 500m towards the main road. You'll find a variety of hotels offering different cuisines and price ranges, from vegetarian to non-vegetarian options. There are both expensive restaurants and more affordable roadside eateries as well.
The availability of rickshaws and autos 24/7 is convenient for local transportation. The bus stand is located on the main road, approximately 500m away from the station exit. It's good to know that the area is safe to roam around at night since the end of the "Gunda Era" in 2017.
Once again, thank you for sharing these helpful tips and providing all the details. It's much appreciated.
