What to do after reaching Ekta Nagar (Kevadiya)?
First, you have to rush to be in a queue 😂....
After getting down from the train, rush towards the exit gate and get into...
more... the queue for buses to statue of unity. Though, queue may be long, but it will be over in few minutes, as there are ample no. of buses. So, dont panic seeing long queue.
The AC buses, will take you to Statue of Unity gate (almost 5-7 kms) free of cost.
If you don't want to be in queue you can approach the autos at gate & go by them by paying required fare.
At the SOU gate, there is separate lines for advance booked tickets & yet to book (The CISF personnel will guide you).
After the entry, move to the security area where your tickets will be scanned & you too 😅 (again separate lines for online booking & on the spot booking). After this check point, you are in the Statue of Unity premises.
If you have booked the slot for viewing gallery, go to the ground floor museum & if your slot time is near, again go the queue first (its again quite long but moves at good pace due to fast lifts which take only 38 seconds to go to viewing gallery). You may take express entry ticket which costs 700 rs. extra, but you will instantly go the lifts (like VIP on red carpet 😎)
After you are done with viewing gallery, now take your time & see the place at your pace.
At the exit, again AC as well as non AC buses are present to take you to different points like Valley of Flowers, Jungle Safari, Sardar Sarovar dam, etc. (announcements are made, which bus to go at which point). Just get into the bus which you get, don't wait for particular bus.
Its better to to book all the tickets for points you want to visit in advance (some points are included in viewing gallery ticket only, which will be mentioned on the ticket & while booking)
