Alight here for Shri Krishna Janam bhumi (Birth Place of Lord Krishna), Dwarkadhish Mandir, Vrindavan and other famous pilgrimage sights.
.
However no Mail/Express/Superfast train stops here even though a very few times train from NDLS/NZM/AWR stops here because of line clearance/unavailability of platform at MTJ.
For vrindavan nearest railheads are vrindavan on MG line and vrindawan road on BG line(5 kms in distance). similarly for krishna janmsthan there is station with same name in mathura vrindavan NG line and a railbus serves it.
Agree with your point, but I am not mentioning the nearest railhead here. I am just giving information for convenient approach for time and money saving.
.
I think you are getting my point. No body will wait for Railbus at Mathura Jn to Vrindavan deploying his 35-40 minutes for 20 minutes road drive.
Ek tourist ko har tarah ki information apne paas rakhni chahiye.
Emergency me kab kaun sa means madad kar de kaha nahi ja sakta.
Mtj vrindavan ng rail bus din me 5 fere lagati hai. Coincidentally agar apki train iske time se 10 15 minute pehle mtj pahuchti hai aur aapko krishna janmsthan and vrindavan jana hai then go for it to get rid of traffic jam and narrow market lanes of mathura , fare 10 rs per head .
Aur...
more... railfans ke liye to kaisi bhi ride ho, rail ride ki baat hi alag hoti hai
Agree and I will definitely try this Rail bus. I was in Vrindavan last Saturday and Sunday and crossed NG rail line for 4-5 times. I thought may be it is closed but My father told me about this rail line that it is very old and still working, also trains running on it from MTJ to Vrindavan only.
Nishant, when we visited Mathura couple of years back ,wanted to go to Sri Krishna Janmasthan. But as per locals there were different such temples.eventually visite the one near the river. We had no time to check the other two temples.
people also call it shri krishna janma bhoomi. If no one is ready to tell one can ask for location of shahi Idgaah. The one besides the river is dwarikadheesh mandir besides vishramghat
Thanks Saurabh..Whenever we visit next time,we will keep the Shahi Idgah location in mind.
As I got to know this time that 80-90% of temple in Mathura/Vrindavan/Barsana are private temple i.e. private property. These temples don't have any Trust/Board/ or any govt. involvement. These temples are hereditary transferred to their generations.
.
Agree with the point that these temples are thousands of year old and the center of our faith.
Well said.Overall,we liked the ambience of this holy city.
