If you are travelling to Sealdah & if your train halts at Bidhan Nagar Road & you want to take Metro, this Tip will help you.
For SDAH bound trains, you will de-board at PF 4.
Get down thru Stairs you will reach the main road & you will get Auto from in front of Ticket Counter & Enquiry. Lots of Auto present. Auto will take you to Shobhabazar for Rs 10.

down from Auto, cross the road you will get the Shobhabazar Metro gate (towards right from Auto).
From there you can reach your destination quickly, especially if you live in South & Far South part of the City.
Buses also available from Bidhan Nagar Road Station.

From Bidhannagar Road, you can get bus, taxi and auto which will take you to almost any place in Kolkata including Saltlake, Airport and even some important parts of Howrah like Howrah Station, Botanical Garden etc. It is one of the most well connected stations in Kolkata

PF alignment is strange: 1-3-2-4. 1 and 2 for trains from SDAH/SDAH south section (up). Ticket counters (reserved and unreserved) is nearby only of PF 4. Up and Down platforms are intra-connected by subways and interconnected by footbridge.
PF4 is adjacent to a big slum area. After 9 pm, the platform is not among the safest places.
Water taps mostly don't work.

have crowd round the year. Enquiry beside the reserved counter remains closed most of the times. Another one is situated outside the PRS which may be open for longer.
2 ATVM (ER zone) is situated in front of the PRS.
EMU trains schedule is shown in the boards over the counters.
No existence of RPF/GRP in actual apart from high-level checking which is very rare. Though TC is present.
