Nearest metro station for Sabarmati BG is AEC on APMC - Motera line (Red line). 10 min walk from metro to railway station.
GMRC map shows a station named Sabarmati rly station enroute but there is no such station (as of now) & train directly stops at Ranip after AEC.

For your information, the old Motera stadium is being reconstructed. It's not a new stadium from ZERO.
The old Stadium was demolished and now work is in full swing for reconstruction with higher seating capacity.
