I read somewhere that Udaipur is the most convenient way of getting to Kumbalgarh in terms of buses/taxis. Is Rani better?
What are the by road conveyance available at rani for kumbhalgarh
Rani station is nearest to it.Can go by taxis.
Thanks.
Taxis are the best for Kumbhalgarh from Rani station.
Thanks.
Thanks. What about Falna? How far is Falna station from Kumbalgarh?
From Falna it's a little bit more far,85 kms almost.
From Rani even you can see it from far away from train.
You are based in Rajasthan, therefore you would have correct information. The Rajasthan tourism website says that Kumbalgarh is 85 KM from Udaipur. It also says that there are buses from Udaipur.
click here The other point is that tourists dont (usually) go too see only the Kumbalgarh fort. They usually have multiple agendas and take circular routes with multiple stops. I am not a local person like you, but if I would try and do a day taxi trip from Udaipur covering Haldhighati, Ranakpur and Kumbalgarh. What is your view?
The Tip is related to this station. So whatever is the attraction near this or the way to reach there from here, only that has to be mentioned or discussed here.
Thanks.
You are right. Sorry for digressing from RANI station tip. I do hope many people will benefit from the tip. I should have discussed this wrt Udaipur station as a tip for that station.
I thought I should share the WIKITRAVEL page on Kumbalgarh. Includes what to see, where to stay and where to eat. Here is the link:
