If you want to go Thane or beyond Thane (towards Kalyan/Vashi) better deboard at borivali and take MSRTC Hirkani(asiad) buses or nonstop buses which plays between Borivali and Thane at regular interval not the BEST's AC(they took around 1.30 to 2 hrs ) buses because they are relatively slower than MSRTC nonstop buses. It wil take around 40 to 50 min. where via Dadar it will take around 1 to 1.15 hrs also help you to avoid crowed at Dadar. MSRTC ST stand is situated at east side of Borivali station.

when u come out of station for auto/taxi with luggage, travel by meter only because there are some auto/taxi wala who don't go by meter n say there own fare for travel.
If you go by meter it will be cheap as compare to their own price because if by meter fare is 10 Rs (example) they will tell you 30 Rs. as their own price.
so also go by meter only n ask first will u go by meter? if yes den go ahead n if no search for other auto/taxi.

This is true and helpful only if one knows the route... else auto will 'ghumao and firao' trip
But there are exceptions to this also...
Once I wanted to board an auto from suburban Ghatkpar to my destination, and it was so near but not a walk able distance also ... so initially three autos stopped and refused... but fourth came and said Yes... I asked him how much 'he said by meter... I asked him how much .. he again said meter... then I stopped asking and got into auto... when
...
i got down and paid him it was mere 13 rupees. I paid him 15. and was walking away... but he called me and said . take your 2 rupees...
and he refused to keep that 2 also...
and he zoomed out ...
I was also walking to my destination , silently praising him...

Location of Ticket Counters:
Reservation Counter: Located in Borivali West, SV road. To reach here you will have to exit station in west and then enter the reservation counter. For easy reference it is between entry for platform 1 and platform 7.
Current Reservation Counter: Located on main entrance on West on SV Road. Also called entrance opposite LT road. It is corner window in the ticket windows for local trains.

Borivali nancy colony ST depot to Pune swargate M.S.R.TC shivneri fare is Rs. 510.
But i would suggest u to take the dadar pune shivneri. There frequency is better and price is also low. Even the bus stand is very near to dadar eastern station. Whereas the borivali st depot is bit far from borivali station. You have to take auto to reach there who's price would be Rs 60-100 as per the timings and weather. Also in rainy season, the borivali buses would take more time bcoz they have to come via western expressway which is most notorious for traffic jams during monsoons whereas the dadar buses directly take the chembur route and eastern expressway which hardly gets jammed as u would

Another option is from Borivali, come to Thane by road (via, Kashi-Mira, Ghodbunder) and take bus to Pune (from Vandana Talkies ST Stand, Thane).
.
BEST, TMT buses ply between Thane & Borivali.

Travelling in Western Railway from Mumbai... Generally, first halt will be Borivali... If interested in nicely packed, near home made taste, pure veg thali food, order from sagar thali, situated just outside Platform No.1 in Borivali West towards north end.
He will deliver on your train as well... just give him order on phone and give your train number coach number and berth number, you will get a delivery on your seat.

What are charges for Goga? Menu is similar at Sagar. Last charged price of Sagar was Rs.120 (including all charges).
