I dont understand why most of the train mishaps are happening in AP...Are they Accidents or reported as accidents....
The driver stopped the train at around 4.20 a.m. near Kothacheruvu railway station after he observed flames coming out of the air conditioned coach. At least 23 people, including two children, were reported dead by railway authorities following a fire that engulfed an air conditioned coach of the Bangalore-Nanded express near Kothacheruvu railway station in the Anantapur district early on Saturday.Speaking to The Hindu, Dharmavaram Railway Police Inspector Sai Prasad said that the Bangalore-Nanded Express (Train No. 16594), which was scheduled to reach Anantapur station at around 4.20 a.m. was stopped by the driver near Kothacheruvu railway station after he observed flames coming out of the B1 coach.“The fire is being doused. The bodies will be brought out once the smoke subsides a little. We are expecting at least 23 casualties, although the exact figure can be given only after the rescue operation is over”, Mr. Prasad, who was overseeing the rescue
Yes bus or train none of provides safety to passengers..if bus caught fire there is some chance to escape by breaking glasses..if train caught fire no chance..
Its Time to Ensure On board Passenger Safety ,
*Smoke/Fire Alarms Should be Installed
*AC coach attendant should be Trained to Fire safety
This is Routine job Of IR.Nothing has to be change.they r incresing fare in the name of security and safety. but they r doing ZERO.
Agree the govt has to do somethng abt this...IR is the main income source to govt..
That's true and really a pathetic approach every time by IR... Certain things need to be changed at least in the future....
