* Longer 1500M loop lines instead of normal 750M means IR want to run double length freight trains to carry more load & earn more revenue.
* Efforts made by IR to strengthen railway track structure & easing out of curves is bearing fruits.
* After successful special trial runs of combined 2/3 freight trains of 1500/2250 M lengths respectively, It is a logical step by IR to start lengthening loop lines to on heavy density saturated freight routes.

Net step should be to strengthen track structure & bridges to increase the axle load to further increase the freight carrying capacity.
