Can someone tell status of Katni-singrauli-garhwa road doubling work? In addition to this, IR should also make Y-leg bypass at garhwa road and sonnagar. I hope IR must have thought it. It will off-load prayagraj-ddu line traffic of west to east trains. Without both bypass only JH-southern WB will benefit. If bypass is made Bihar, North bengal and North-East too will benefit.
Garhwa road Y leg byepass is in middle phase of construction, bed level work is being carried on; it will be little slow as it has dependency on completion of Garhwa road koel rail bridge, video of the bridge and byepass progress is available on Youtube on click here
Observing high passenger demand from garhwa road junction and passengers giving good income to railway by boarding train from Garhwa road junction, railway has gifted back the junction with new rail building, platform upgradation and a rail foot over bridge.
