Vridhachalam station is almost finish now the painting work is goin on so hope by last month 5 years Cshm-Kici new BG section will be operational as the work of base laying and laying of new BG lines is goin on in very high speed because IR/SECR wants to supply coal thru the wagons to the power plant in Attur near Kallkurichi station so thats y IR n SECR both wants to open this route for traffic so that Coal wagons can be reached to Power plant and its a very big n good news for railfans...

 Salem - Villupuram  ( SR ) Doubling work in progress
 good News updates  for all lover kallkurichi railway tracks along the lines. .
 IR has sanctioned doubling of chinasalem - Villupuram  railway line.
Total cost for this project is 2058 Cr.
(1050 from IR and 950 from SR )
Total duration = 3 years
Doubling work is under SR
IR will complete doubling within 3 yrs to benefit good clean plant at Kallkurichi railway station .
SR  is already deposited Rs. 950 Cr to IR.
 Outdated Tracks restricting speeds and causing frequent derailments in every week or two in kallkurichi  stn - extended route other  between vridhachlam-Villupuram-Chegalpatppu-Cheenai Any Self Route First Villupuram -Thirukkovilur -Thiruvanmallai - Vellore- Kadpati section .way to Tirupati Main
