Is there any concrete proposal from SER aka Adra divn to ER/hwh divn for inter connect at Msae & Gmmg.
Since Rail over Rail is an distant dream, limited no of train access with provision of interlocking should be given a priority.
TAK-VSU is on jeopardy as land acquisition in WB is not possible. SER must go all out for this project.
to land acquisition problem many project has been failed to complete for years only for few last yards.
Nasipur bridge, bowaichndi-khana, Goghat-Kamarpukur
Widening and four laning of NH-34 etc.
Its a shame that still we don't have any express-way linking Siliguri with Kolkata.

Railway line construction between Maynapur and Baragopinathpur of TAK-VSU section has already begun. Tender attached. Between Baragopinathpur-Joyrambati-Kamarpukur land aquisition is complete. Only geophysical study about flood water retention is left to complete. After this final alignment alongwith water underpasses will be finalised.
The only stubborn hurdle is Bhabadighi. Villagers want the line to pass straight, north of the pond as per original plan. Railways denies material modification and new earthwork for 5 km again between Kamarpukur and Goghat. 🥲

Yes that's planned. Even both the DRMs have visited the site to review the west end connection location. Unless the HBC 4th line alignment is approved, the connection with MSAE-BQA cannot be made.😓

CRS Inspection of Sonamukhi- Masagram section completed successfully today. With this section of
77 km Electrified successfully Adra div. achieves 100% Electrification through it's entire network.

#BDR Masagram - Bankura route
➡️One of unique location to me where ER & SER meet as Masagram/ER & Masagram Jn./SER
➡️The terminal end of the Bankura Damodar Railway (BDR) is Masagram Jn./SER.From here passengers have to change to the ER station!
➡️The BDR (common name) operates Four pair DEMU trains, having a crossing station at Sonamukhi,as the whole route "HAS NO SIGNALS"
except at Sonamukhi! The system of working is "One Train Only" or OTO System between Sonamukhi - Bankura & Sonamukhi - Masagram sections.
➡️Here at Masagram Jn./SER,they have a Crew Lobby.
➡️The tickets are issued by Eastern Railways at Masagram/ER

Two years ago crossing station at Beliator and Rainagar have been approved but no constructive step has not been taken yet. In fact still rainagar is an crossing station with optimum length. Before connection with Masagram, Rainagar was terminating point with a loop fir engine reversal of passenger train as well as balast laden goods train.

Once this route get connected with Howrah-Barddhaman chord line at Masagram, there will be huge development in this Bankura-Masagram route. Number of Express trains , passenger trains and Goods train will increase. No of crossing stations will also increase, also doubling work will be done in future.

I personally do not see a lot of potential on this route. Maybe 4-5 pair of local trains and 2 pair of express trains to HWH (if slots are available) will run on this section. I don't see goods train using these tracks, because there is no big industrial area on the section. Also, this is the ADRA division, if there was a chance of running goods train it would have done ran by now.

Yes. It is astonishing to see than no MP from Bankura bother for Bankura district whether it from Tom dick Harry any party. While getting information from Their end all of them utter the word just like Rail officials like "Rail over rail flyover to be constructed". But all of them never counter argue with instances like Prr-KSX line either at KSX or at PRR. or at Bhogpur or at PKU.
There is no such ROR arrangement in this Busy HWH-KGP section. Bankura people were always being neglected. They will be neglected in future also.

Yes. No MP from Bankura, Purulia, Midnapur is interested in developing railway infrastructure in these districts. These r neglected areas. Also SER and Adra Division is also responsible for this. They also have no interest on passenger trains, only busy running Freight. Adra is the most neglected Division of IR i will say. A Division which doesn't have a single long distance Express train with PM in Adra Division done. I don't remember any other such Division in IR. Is there any ? please reply.
A Division with only few MEMU trains which it runs. A Division which do not have a full fledged Coaching Depot, a full fledged Carshed till now. Although Anara is
planned but till date there is none. Adra CDO is still undeveloped one till date, doing PM of only 1 Intercity train rake that too started hardly 2 months back.
Worst Division of IR i will say.

CKP as a division HQ don't have trains starting from there, though they have Tata close by where trains originate. I guess SER, SECR, contribute lots for IR towards freight revenues. Unfortunately this affects focus towards passenger service
