The last station [well technically the second last, since there is a 'Ramghat Halt' as well] before Ayodhya on the MUR-AY route; this station has a freight sliding for unloading/loading of stuff. The passenger is often looped here for xings. The station is undergoing renovation currently.

Short terminate & short originate of train 05425/26 and 04259/60.

Due to girder launching block at AY Yard in day shift & bet AY-ACND girder launching block On LC No. 111 & 112 ROB work hence train no. 05425/26 & 04259/60 will short terminate & short originate at KEA station in LJN/NER, since (08/12/2023 to 17/12/2023) for 10 day.

जल्द ही कटरा रेलवे स्टेशन को जं. का दर्ज़ा मिलने वाला है अयोध्या से बस्ती के बीच 67 किलोमीटर नई रेलवे लाइन वाया श्रृंगेरी आश्रम - मखौड़ा धाम, कप्तानगंज, हर्रैया, विक्रमजोत रेलवे लाइन के सर्वेक्षण का कार्य जारी है आशा है कि जल्द सर्वेक्षण पूरा होगा जिसमें गोरखपुर से लखनऊ की दूरी 265 किलोमीटर होगी तथा गोरखपुर से प्रयागराज तक की दूरी भी 326 किलोमीटर से घट कर 296 कि.मी. ही रह जायेगी !
