सासाराम में 360 करोड़ की लागत से बनेगा दूसरा रेलवे फ्लाईओवर ब्रिज जो कि सासाराम उतरी केबिन (आरा-सासाराम रेललाइन) को करवंदिया से जोड़ेगा। कर्मडीहरी में बनेगा सासाराम का सहयोगी स्टेशन, करवंदिया भी होगा सासाराम का सहयोगी स्टेशन। आरा की ओर से गया या गड़वा-डाल्टेनगंज जाने वाली गाड़ियों को लोको नहीं बदलना पड़ेगा। इन ट्रेनों का ठहराव सासाराम के बदले करवंदिया या कर्मडीहरी में होगा।
