So, basically in Visakhapatnam, they got these two big projects going on: Visakhapatnam Metro Rail and South Coast Railway (SCoR). But you know what? Both of them are facing some major problems. It's causing a lot of worries about costs going up, political fights, and promises not being kept. At first, things were going pretty well with the Metro Rail project, when the TDP government was in charge. But now, it's like everything has just stopped. There's been a change in government, new bids are being made, and some fancy report has been updated. All this has made the cost go up like crazy, reaching a whopping Rs 14,300 crore. With elections around the corner and issues with getting land, they can't avoid more delays.Unfortunately, even with a loan of $1.4 billion and extra money from a Korean company, the new report still needs approval and money from the Central government. The YSRCP government wants some extra cash to make things work, which just makes things more complicated. The Union Minister Nitin Gadkari said yes to building a fancy expressway joining Visakhapatnam to Bhogapuram, but it all depends on the State government getting the land. This guy GVL Narasimha Rao from the BJP is criticizing the State for not doing anything, even though the Center already gave Rs 6,300 crore to the project.The SCoR is trying to set up shop in Visakhapatnam, but they have their own bunch of problems. Even though the Center says they gave Rs 106.89 crore for the infrastructure, they got into fights with the State government and still don't have a place to build. Last year, the Prime Minister Modi was even supposed to lay the foundation stone, but that plan got canceled. People are annoyed and worried about this whole situation. Some dude named JV Satyanarayana Murthy is telling them to do something ASAP, like start the operation right away from some manager's office or something.Both of these projects are a big reminder of wasted opportunities. All these obstacles with the government, money issues, and political fights are messing things up, leaving the city's dreams of better infrastructure in uncertainty.
