If something works, you don't mess with it. Delhi Metro is one of the few things in the national capital that is world class, messing with it's revenue structures for petty political gains would reduce the quality of service. Everyone knows that nothing is truly free. The government can't simply print money at whim unless it wanna risk hyperinflation. Either it will come from the public and if it doesn't, then the quality of whatever service one is getting will suffer.

दिल्ली मेट्रो की स्थापना के बारे में 1995 में मदनलाल खुराना की सरकार ने सोचा और योजना बनाई थी लेकिन कोलकाता मेट्रो तो 1985 में ही चालू हो चुका था लेकिन बहुत ही खराब स्थिति में ।
मैंने 1987 में 5 किलोमीटर के 5 रुपये किराया देकर पहली और आखिरी यात्रा की है । उस समय दुकानों में सहायक कर्मचारियों को 300 प्रति माह की पगार मिलती थी तो आप सोचिये की क्या आम आदमी मेट्रो की यात्रा कर सकता था । मैने कभी सपने में भी नहीं सोचा था कि कभी मेट्रो ट्रेन मेट्रो शहरोँ की जीवन रेखा होगी । मेरा घर राजस्थान में है और मेरी कर्मभूमि ओड़िसा है लेकि मेरे पास 15 साल से दिल्ली मेट्रो का कार्ड है...

Mewala Maharajpur, Sector 28, Badkal Mor, Old Faridabad, Neelam Chowk Ajronda, Bata Chowk, Escorts Mujesar) is elevated and runs along Delhi-Mathura Road. It's 95% indigenously built and will serve around 2 lakh daily commuters. Separately, Afcons Infrastructure completed casting 8,327 tunnel ring segments for Package DC-07 of Delhi Metro's Golden Line (Sangam Vihar Station to Sarita Vihar Depot), a Rs 1669.20 crore project with a 42-month deadline. This work, completed in 24 months, supports the construction of three underground stations and twin tunnels.
