After successful completion of these trials, the Commissioner of Railway Safety will inspect the new line on March 6th and authorize train operations. The public gathered in large numbers to witness the trial run, capturing the moment on their mobile phones. Prior to this, railway officials had inspected the line using a motor trolley. Notably, the 9.6 km long new railway line connecting Sonwal to the city has already undergone successful trial runs for train operations last year, and the CRS inspection had already given the green light for train operations.
