Railway budget was often a political stunt. Absolutely no need to bring it back. Railways is the not even the biggest department under the cabinet.

There is always a fund allocation plan at the zonal level and accordingly funds are disbursed for projects / augmenting services.

isn't it off-topic to discuss about rail budget, when audit reports are showing that Railway is trying to calculate finances 'smartly' in order to show a different picture? Just saying!

We all know that Indian Railways have taken to manipulate official data to show a false picture of various things. The NTES data manipulation is known to each and every member of IRI, I suppose.
It won't be a shocker if Railway is manipulating death counts and number of accidents as well, to show a false side of itself.

Some news articles about "clarification of MYTHS" are floating on twitter and apparently in IRI. Now days, even official data of anything can not be trusted. This article is contradicts Railways' clarification of those MYTHS.
