There has to be a railway line from Mysore to Kerala. With minimal forest area, SR/ SWR should work together to get atleast one of the three routes - Nanjangud Nilambur/ Nanjangud Mananthavadi/ Nanjangud Iritty/ Mysore Kushal nagar Thalassery.
It will be better for Mysore also. Now no train goes beyond Mysore and so all Bangalore trains are dumped to Mysore.

As per today's news the Mysore-Kannur road will be taken over by NH via Kannur Airport. So it is beneficial. MYS-TLY is very old proposal and nothing happened, and does not expect also.
