Mumbai harbour line CSTM-PNVL is playing the stellar role in creation and development Navi Mumbai. One after the other starting from Vashi, nodes are being developed along this railway track which connects them to island of Mumbai. 9 nodes developed and handed over to Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation and 7 more under development under the adgeis of CIDCO.
Kharghar (node) has witnessed a quantum growth of decadal population from just 6000 in 2001 to 73000 in 2011, a jump of 1117%! and continues to grow!
