The Podanur to Pollachi line, which is about 45 kilometers, is divided into three sections of the Southern Railways. Podanur falls under Salem division, Kinathukadavu to Pollachi falls under PGT division, and the section beyond Pollachi falls under Madurai division. So, don't expect any decent trains on the Coimbatore to Madurai line.

Podanur Pollachi line 45 kms hai aur yeh line SR ke 3 division mein aati hai (Podanur Salem division mein, Kinathukadavu se Pollachi tak PGT division mein aur Pollachi ke aage Madurai division mein). Isliye, CBE MDU line par koi bhi acchi train ki ummeed nahi ki ja sakti.

Yeah, so far there hasn't been any good service either from CBE to Pollachi or from PGT to Pollachi.

Sahi baat hai, ab tak na CBE se acchi service hai, na hi PGT se acchi service hai, dono taraf se via Pollachi.

Back in the day, there used to be more trains on the MG lines compared to today. In the morning, we had the Madurai ICE and passenger trains coming from CBE and PGT. In the evening and at night, there were the PGT RMM passenger and CBE RMM express trains. There were also connecting trains at Pollachi for a smooth journey to PGT/CBE. But now, there are hardly any trains at all!

Pehle MG lines mein aaj ke mukablein zyada train thi. Subah Madurai ICE aur passenger train thi CBE aur PGT se. Shaam/ raat mein, humare paas PGT RMM passenger aur CBE RMM express train thi. CBE/PGT se Pollachi mein bina rukawat ke safar karne ke liye CBE/PGT trainon ke liye judavaan train thi. Ab toh koi train bhi kam hai!!

That IR project is hella wasteful, man. Ain't nobody using it.
