is being made to comply with the Railway Board's directive for adequate maintenance time for all trains. Currently, the train only gets 6.5 hours for maintenance, which is insufficient. The new timing will also affect the Dhanbad-Howrah Black Diamond Express, which will depart from Dhanbad at 7:00 PM instead of 4:20 PM. The change in the Intercity's timings will also mean that the train will arrive at all stations between Ranchi and Dhanbad approximately two hours earlier, arriving at Dhanbad at 9:30 PM, ahead of the 9:50 PM Maury Express.

पहले, यानी रात साढ़े नौ बजे पहुँच जाएगी। यह बदलाव रेलवे बोर्ड के आदेश के कारण हो रहा है, जिसमें सभी ट्रेनों के लिए उचित रखरखाव समय देना ज़रूरी है। वर्तमान में, ट्रेन को सिर्फ़ साढ़े छह घंटे ही रखरखाव के लिए मिलते हैं, जो पर्याप्त नहीं है। इससे धनबाद-हावड़ा ब्लैक डायमंड एक्सप्रेस का समय भी बदल जाएगा, और यह धनबाद स्टेशन से शाम ४.२० बजे की जगह शाम ७ बजे चलेगी। इंटरसिटी का समय बदल जाने से, रांची और धनबाद के बीच हर स्टेशन पर ट्रेन दो घंटे पहले पहुँच जाएगी, धनबाद पर रात ९.३० बजे, ९.५० बजे वाली मौर्य एक्सप्रेस से पहले।

40 minute pehle, yaani raat saadhe nau baje pahunch jaayegi. Yeh badlaav Railway Board ke order ke karan ho raha hai, jisme sabhi trains ke liye proper maintenance time dena jaruri hai. Currently, train ko sirf saadhe chhe ghante hi maintenance ke liye milte hain, jo kaafi nahi hai. Isse Dhanbad-Howrah Black Diamond Express ka time bhi badal jaayega, aur yeh Dhanbad station se sham 4.20 baje ki jagah sham 7 baje chalegi. Intercity ka time badal jaane se, Ranchi aur Dhanbad ke beech har station par train do ghante pehle pahunch jaayegi, Dhanbad par raat 9.30 baje, 9.50 baje wali Maury Express se pehle.

Primary Maintenance of Black Diamond & Coalfield should be exchanged. Black Diamond should be shifted to Howrah & Coalfield should be shifted to Dhanbad.
Both train spend more time at the other end station.
