The Bengaluru division of the South Western Railways has decided to operate an additional service between Krantiveera Sangolli Rayanna City Railway Station (KSR Bengaluru) to Whitefield station in the evening for the benefit of commuters. This train is in addition to the existing services.
The new train (06559/06560) will start from KSR Bengaluru at 5.50 p.m. and reach Whitefield at 6.40 p.m. and will run via Bengaluru Cantonment, Bengaluru East, Baiyappanahalli, K.R. Puram, and Hoodi. In the opposite direction, the train will depart from Whitefield station at 6.50 p.m. and reach Cantonment at 7.25 p.m. where the service will be terminated.

to The Hindu, a senior official from the railways said that the train would benefit thousands of passengers, mainly employees in the IT sector. “Trains in the evenings are highly crowded. This new service will help ease the evening commute,” the official said.
Bengaluru Central Member of Parliament P.C. Mohan will flag off the service on Saturday.
