This talk or view is there since many years but nothing has been done either by state or by railways. It has remained as wish list from the railway activists,urban transport experts.
If BMTC ever had such plans, there would have been no Metro Rail in Bengaluru!!
This is good news, However, there has to be double electrified track to avoid regular traffic. Also depends on frequency of trains, this will impact Taxies and Volvo buses profits
