Its clearly a good sign. Last time focus was on removing unmanned level crossings. This time around, it should be to eliminate level crossings altogether. Next, they should fence all too important semi high speed (130) and semi low speed (110) corridors since they are already in process of fencing all high speed (130+) corridors.
With technology now easily and economically available, the loco and guard cabins need high speed high res cameras spanning front, sides and back of the tracks and recording it live so the guard can notice any breaches on his tablet and immediately pass it on to concerned authorities.

very beneficiary feature would be to make loco's cabins AC with a provision of a toilet and a water cooler for drinking water (They put RO filters in Deen Dayaalu coaches, take care of your train drivers). Railways need to go a long way before a train's unwarranted halt prolongs beyond sustainable limits in adverse weather. In present time, it would look funny if a loco pilot leaves loco to relieve (or for that matter fetch drinking water) himself or herself. Ditto with a goods guard. Take care of the running staff well, it will reward the operations. A good beginning has already been made to make all running rooms AC and SWR's replacing the 35kg guards' trunk with a strolley equipped with a tablet at KSRB (SBC).

Wahi to baat yeha uthi hai ki saari BG lines aankh moond ke electrify nahi honi chahiye.
Nature scientists ki committee ko evaluate karna chahiye ki kahi us section ke electrification se flora/fauna ko Jo loss hoga wo irecoverable to nahi.
Am 100% sure ki BG lines jaise sguj-ali purduar, srr- nilambur road section will never be able to recover. Aur unme abhi jitna traffic hai wo us pollution ke terms me negligible hai , Jo tab tracks ke dono taraf vegetation clear karne or ohe line se hoga
