Latter would carry more weightage and preference over the former. Inform the Ticket supervisor that this is a gift and ask for a 2 berth coupe. still you will get after chart preparation. In 1st AC (and 1st class), the berths / seats are allotted only on charting. Being the highest class, it is VIP prone and they are given the maximum comfort.
