Town booking agents connect to the serving stations and access the quota provided there.

The Town Booking Agencies are permitted to issue tickets only, no concessional tickets are permitted except senior citizen and child concessions. The agent is not permitted to cancel the tickets. The agent is permitted to charge service charges per passenger at Rs. 50/- for IIAC/IIIAC/AC Chair car; Rs. 40/- for Sleeper Class, Rs. 30/- for Second Seating (Mail/Express trains) and Rs. 20/- for Second Seating (Ordinary Trains) for issue of reserved tickets and Rs. 5/- per ticket for issue of unreserved curent tickets.
