This figure gets auto-populated while checking for availability. When checking before 8AM opening date, this figure is exact. When checking at other times a > figure (greater than) is added. This means that there are at least that many seats for that quota. The "Tot Seats" figure gives you the Total Available seats for that quota between that pair of stations. This figure gets auto-populated while checking for availability. But as it turns out, most people refresh after 8AM - any refresh after 8am will show less seats available, as some of the seats are already booked. For this reason, please note the sign "" - this means "greater than". So, " 160" means that the SL class for that quota has "at least 160 seats". Similarly, " 3" for 3A means that 3AC has "at least 3 seats". So, as it turns out, the info shown is NOT erroneous. This site is NOT saying that SL has exactly 160 seats. We are just saying that it has at least 160 seats. Even this info... more... For example, if you get a WL of 5 for a certain ticket/class/quota/pair of stations, seeing that the Tot Seats available for that quota is 70 or 70 will give you an idea of its chances of confirmation. If the Tot Seats figure is 5, then you should have less confidence that the ticket will be confirmed. Our PNR predictors use this along with many other pieces of info, their experience, etc. to predict a ticket's chances of confirmation. If you see " 160", then that means that there are at least 160 seats for that quota in... more... | ||
