So railway is back to earlier plan. Why was this noise about removing slip coaches for reducing shunting time? When earlier situation was working why to stop it? Seems quite arbitrary decision making by those I'm Delhi.

Dehradun to Saharanpur by road takes 1 hour 30 mins. Train will take 5 hrs, on top of it passenger train converted to express. Great minds at work in IR.

Who will tell this to IR officials? Never heard before that a train going to a state capital gets withdrawn and shifted to a terminal with 1/3rd of population! Dehradun people have no other option than suffer due to this highly illogical decision.

Infact there were few surveys in past budgets as well on a direct DDN - SRE route. This route would reduce DDN to Delhi & would also be possible to add new service from DDN to Jammu. Road travel takes approx 1 & half hour while Shatabdi takes 2 hrs 35 mins!
