Practically I don't expect not more than 2-3 passengers train running in this route. This will be like Kendujargarh route where 95% of trains are goods train and 2 trains are passenger trains only

I have personally seen lots of barbil, Kendujargarh buses being parked in Balasore and baripada bus stand which were getting ready to move. It shows that their are quite a good number of passengers between these two places. If SER thinks about this route this will be definitely be quite successful.

Even I have seen baripada passengers using Janshatabdi express to move between bbs and baripada. They drop in Balasore then from Balasore they take baripada bus just outside the station which is easily available . And yes nearly 30-40% Janshatabdi passengers are Balasore bound

I have regular work in bls/bpo and I use this technique only. From ctc I use JS till bls from bls I immediately get a bus to bpo . Same while returning I leave bpo around 4pm and reach bls by 17:30 from bls I mostly catch satabdi

One train is extremely necessary from bhubaneswar to baripada . Bus passengers can be easily attracted but railways is not thinking about it. Even I find no signs of electrification of ROP-BGY line

Only electrification won't help that route much. All station between Rop-Bgy are halt stations except Btq and Bhanjpur . This needs to be changed

For example some important trains skip JER and bls which is quite unacceptable. Even a small station with much lesser population gets more stoppage than BLS and Jer

For example if Purushottam can get halts in GTS and CNI then why not Jer and soro. Ghy Humsafar stops in psa, che and vzm but skips bls. See the number of stoppages mail have in SCR region and North Andhra region of ecor but still skips jer. One more example is Puri-Kyq I still don't understand reason of skipping bls. It is almost running like passenger train . Humsafar skipping bls is still acceptable but not this train

Even I can say odisha is having the poorest inter state connection. The major reason behind it is differences between SER and Ecor. Bhubaneswar is having connection to all places but leaving bhubaneswar other parts of Odisha has very poor connection. If any extension or introduction of new train is proposed by any zone other zone is bound to reject it. As odisha is divided between two zones .

First Ecor proposed extension of it's train to which Ser rejected .Ecor requested for introducing some new trains within state which was even rejected. Issue here is stations lying under SER have poor infrastructure (mostly Bls-Jer region). While SER provides quite good infra to places like Rourkela. Issue is not with SER or Ecor the major issue with Ser is that it is so busy with other major revenue earning sources that it is ignoring some other potential revenue earning sources

Secondly with vskp people they always wanted a independent zone of themselves so they were bound to object every step taken by Ecor. Vskp has some of the best infrastructure under ECoR even far better than bhubaneswar. I agree 2-3 trains got extended and some negligence happened but that was not a big issue to create such a hue and cry. Almost all locos of ecor lies in vskp. It has some quite good amount of trains .

Their are 2-3 more specifically in 2017. Even the State government demanded running simlipal express 5/6days a week and running a new train between Bls to Rou via Sbp,angul. But SER rejected all these proposals. See I don't blame SER completely. Fault lies equally everywhere even in Ecor. Ser has to handle some important places of West Bengal and Jharkhand which provides them good revenue. So it is quite common these places many demands may not get fullfilled and even controlling two most important states of India(i.e WB and Jharkhand) gives lots of work load to SER

First their is a proposal to extend Rgda-Vskp and TIG-BSP to Bhawanipatna/JNRD you can see in irttm. Even electrification has been completed and 1pf has been constructed in jnrd

Secondly a new line has been sanctioned between Gnpr-Rgda which is around 70kms. If this is completed I am quite sure 1-2 trains will run via that route. Electrification of this route has been completed even. Even some days back Rajyarani got extended here even

Secondly their was a proposal to run neelanchal once a week via Kdjr and to introduce tata-kdjr new passenger. Neelanchal extension was rejected but tata-kdjr is still pending now. Secondly a new line is being launched to connect talcher to kdjr. It will be around 200kms. If this gets introduced I am sure 2-3 trains will get introduced
