Status of railway developmental works at Ballari Cantonment Halt (BYC) as on December 9th 2020 i.e., Today

1) Demolition of British era old building i.e., unreserved ticket counter is under progress. Halt of 07337/07338 - Hubballi - Ballari - Hubballi Passenger Special is removed at this station because unreserved ticket counter is being demolished. New unreserved ticket counter will be constructed in same place

🔹Erection of supporting structures for sheeting is under progress

4) Extension and height increasing of platform no.2 has been completed towards both ends

5) Concreting of slope is pending for platform no.1 towards Toranagallu/Hosapete/Hubballi side

🔸Other observations

6) Construction of new gateman building for 4th gate (gate near Veerashaiva college). Similar new gateman buildings are being constructed for 3rd gate (Sudha cross gate) and 2nd gate (Radio park gate)

7) Today's 07337 - Hubballi - Ballari Passenger Special was hauled by UBL/WDP-4/20032 in #LHF mode. Spotting of this train was done when it halted for few seconds. This train halted for a while because railway gate ahead was not completely closed - #WDP4UBL
