Very shame for Baleshwar ! The tenure of BLS MP Mr. Pratap Sarangi (ex-minister, Govt of India) ended, but the RM didn't considered his requests, who is also from Odisha quota. What public can expect from so called national leaders like Mr. Sarangi...........I must say useless.

If 935 kms of railway lines deserve 2 divisions in the same zone (referring to Kerala), how many divisions would be required for a state having 2935 kms line (referring to Karnataka)? At present, karnataka has just 3 divisions but 5 zones are controlling. Even Uttar Pradesh may not be having this much complexity of zone and divisions.
It is necessary to create 2 more divisions and bring entire Karnataka into 2 zones from current 5 zones mess. Considering the practical geographical constraints, I am not suggesting being entire state railway lines to one zone.

Palakkad division was not as old as you think. It was formed by killing the then Podanur division in 1950s. Now, Podanur station is just a way side station without any importance -- all due to neglect.
Kerala with just 935 kms of railway line was pressurising for separate West Coast zone !!!. Whereas in Karnataka (2935 kms line) which is torn apart between 5 zones, nobody bothers about trains or divisions or zones as the concerned authorities are taken care by bus lobby!
Waltair division is being dismantled and new Rayagada division under ECOR and BZA division on SCR to take care of old Waltair division lones.
Similarly why not dismantle Palakkad division and create new Mangalore division under SWR and attach lines north of Shoranur to Mangalore along with Hassan Mangalore and Konkan lines to it? SRR Podanur and PGT POY can be attached to TVC.

I feel and have reiterated the same multiple times above in same thread that setting up of new division would be a difficult task as the recommendation of Viveck Debroy Committee report to reduce setup/office infra cost has been accepted by this regime in pas term. Even SCoR was a UPA govt present to AP compensating for carving out Telangana state in 2014.
Only zonal reformations ( and divisional rearrangements) to a little bit can be expected keeping in consideration that convenience of ground crew/field officers like SSE( sections)

Finally ECR woke up !!
Hope it not runs for one trips the trips should be extended till few months to check occupancy which obvious will run full and then they should sent it for regularisation to Rb.But ECR running this with only sleeper lol atleast few AC coaches should have been added in this hot summer.

May be because of IRTTC meeting this train is introduced and will be extended in future
Poor mismanagement by ECR a bihari based zone.Still the bookings not started they are knowing that tomorrow they are running a special? it's better to not run then.
