I have noticed many users posting their PNR details in the prediction forum even though their tickets are CONFIRMED at the time of booking itself. Is such an action useful to them/us in any way ? Please help me understand this situation.

I was trying to book a premium tatkal (PT) ticket from Rourkela to Dadar by 12860 Gitanjali Exp today. IRCTC website kept on displaying something like "Error: Booking not permitted". Then I changed the starting station to KGP, TATA, etc. It allowed
booking PT ticket only from HWH and KGP. From ROU and TATA it was not possible to book.
I tried the same thing from 12102 Gnaneshwari Exp and it allowed booking PT tickets from all the four stations. This is very
confusing....

How is it that such a feature is available only at Chennai and not in Mumbai ? I know for sure that such type of
passengers have been penalized Rs 250/- for similar travels. Why IR waits for RTI queries and why cant it
generally clarify the situation thru its circulars or notifications ?

A kind hearted soul and always ready to extend a helping hand to the needy ones. He was socially active with many NGOs. Expressing my heartfelt condolences. May his soul rest in peace.

I have noticed that the Premium Tatkal tickets in many trains are still available when the regular tatkal and
the general tickets are waitlisted even upto the time of chart preparation. Who benefits from those vacant berths/seats at the time of chart preparation ? Is it the regular tatkal or the general category people ? Does anyone have any idea ?
