Your concern should be on MEMU and EMU's services. Which will help the passengers to reach at proper originating station/ boarding station.

The absolute dead silence on this matter from the Railways and the Rail Minister is only making it worse.

This was required to be highlighted. Reducing the lower classes, not providing proper accommodation to the passengers, and only focusing on profitability rather than on serviceability is a major causes of this situation. Also, if they make a profit and do not utilize the same for educating the people is again proving to be a burden for the society.
Edit: If IR marginally reduces the fare of 3AC Economy. Then to some extent the situation can be controlled.

Fare increase involves social status and per capita income. In these many years after independence, what are all the differences you can find in the facilities and structure of general travel? Fare increase must go with per capita income. Govt. is in a responsible position to uplift those who can't do it by themselves or face constraints from society. Proper utilization of the resources is very much needed. User-friendly infrastructure is required.

I believe you are talking about practicality. In 20 years the number of 3A coaches in many trains has been augmented to cater to extra rush. Still, there are many unreserved passengers and passengers with invalid tickets are traveling in reservation compartments. In these 20 years, track capacity has not widened proving to be a major issue.

There are many other trains with low fares running on this route. Maybe this can be the reason behind it for not making this a daily train.
