I travelled on this popular Intercity express between Mysuru and Shivamogga on 17th February 2024. And it was beautiful, cruising on single line sections especially Mysuru - Hassan - Arsikere and Birur - Shivamogga sectors at 80+ kmph.

loco incharge was surprisingly a normal liveried KJM (ex UBL) WDG-4 #12146 with old generation (OG) cab.

Journeying on this intercity was indeed a great oppurtunity (that too hauled by a diesel) when electrification of Mysuru - Hassan railway line is advancing rapidly towards Hassan.

Great show by the EMD GT46MAC Macho !! With original livery and old generation cab, the locomotive's truly an 'Original Gangstaa' !!!

Sharing a couple of pics and audio, headphones are recommended !! The pics are all taken at Arsikere Junction (ASK), because the train waits here for some more time, due to crew change & fuel refilling.

I just want to announce that the newly built Multimodal Logistics Park (MMLP) facility near Kadakola Railway Station (KDO) by CONCOR is ready for operation.

On 23rd November 2023, a tweet was posted by CONCOR Area -3 (south) saying "CONCOR’s latest state-of-the-art terminal, MMLP- Kadakola (GCCK) at Mysore is ready for Domestic Rail operations with immediate effect."

Also, today (27th Nov 2023) a CONCOR freight made it's way to the facility during the morning time.

I would also give a new meaning for OG - Original Gangsters.

Since when Golgumbaz Express got back it's end to end diesel link. I had a desire to spot it with a single cab diesel locomotive, like a WDP-4 or WDP-4B from UBL. After spotting a couple of WDP-4Bs and dual cab WDP-4Ds, I really wanted to see the WDP-4s coming with this train.

I was literally unaware of this, but was really surprised and filled with joy when I saw the Original Gangster with LHB-Golgumbaz.

Many WDP-4s of Hubballi DLS have been transferred to DLTB-Tughlakabad (Delhi) or GY-Gooty. Also, the original imported EMDs are now bearing modified widecabs, except the legendary WDP-4 #20005

Only thing I would say is - "THANK YOU ALMIGHTY !!"

The guy standing next to the locomotive is mee !! Photo taken by the ALP of the locomotive. He was a bit hesitant though. Sorry to him.

Also, will be attaching the startup and idling sounds of the locomotive.
