Ok then I'll book AC dormitory because I have exam next day.
On google it shows that there are 2 types of dormitories (old and new) on bhopal railway station.
Which one to choose and how to identify ?

I'm travelling from jabalpur to bhopal for exam which is on 25th january at 8:30am to 2am. I haven't booked tickets yet but my plan is to take somnath express to reach bhopal at 8pm on 24th jan. Then I'll take proper sleep so that I can attend my exam on next day at morning. Then I'll take amarkantak express to return jabalpur at 4:00pm.

Yes. One of my friend is going by this train from sleeper class But then we have to use waiting room's toilet and bathroom at morning.

This station has a very good retiring room facility.
I've booked dormitory single bed yesterday for 12 hours.
