1লা মার্চ, 2024, 7:40 PM-এ, রামপুরহাট থেকে কাটরা পর্যন্ত একটি ট্রেন উদ্বোধন করা হয়েছিল, যা রামপুরহাট ও তার আশেপাশের বাসিন্দাদের অযোধা ধাম দেখার সুযোগ করে দিয়েছিলো। এবং এই রামপুরহাট –কাটরা-রামপুরহাট (00307) ট্রেনটি পুরোপুরি ফুল হয়েগিয়েছিল, কিন্তু শুধুমাত্র এক দিন একটি ট্রেন দিয়ে এই অঞ্চলের মানুষের চাহিদা কিছুই মেটাতে পারেনি, তাই ট্রেনটিকে সপ্তাহে এক দিন করে রামপুরহাট থেকে কাটরার মধ্যে চালানো দরকার। কারন বীরভূম জেলায় একান্ন পীঠের মধ্যে পঞ্চপীঠ রয়েছে, যা রাম লালার জন্মস্থানের সাথে সরাসরি ট্রেনের যোগাযোগ দরকার । এছাড়া তারাপীঠ এর মতো পূন্যোভূমি রয়েছে রামপুরহাটে ।

Tarapith stands out as a prominent destination for tourism in West Bengal, drawing a substantial number of devotees not only from within the state but also from neighboring regions like Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha, and Assam. Considering the significant influx of pilgrims, it would be advantageous to extend the 13333/ 13334 Patna-Dumka train to Rampurhat. And even though Rampurhat is the highest revenue-generating station in the region, there is currently no dedicated train service from Patna or Delhi to Rampurhat, except for trains destined for the state capital, Kolkata.

Burdwan and Malda are directly connected to Patna or Delhi, but Rampurhat serves as a blind spot in the connectivity between them, necessitating to connect. And Rampurhat generates the highest revenue in the region, so there is nothing wrong in demanding new trains across pan-India.

Using the phrase 'pirate a train' may not be precise. Railways are regarded as national property and fall outside the jurisdiction of any particular state. They transcend specific regions and consistently prioritize broader national interests. Hence, it is advisable to be mindful when selecting words in this context.
There are trains from Burdwan to Patna/Delhi and from Malda to Patna/Delhi However, Rampurhat is at the center of the Burdwan- Bolpur- Saithia-Rampurhat- Pakur-Farkka-Malda railway route, and currently has no trains to Patna or Delhi. And trains from Patna or Delhi to Rampurhat are very important due to the large number of devotees visiting the Tara Maa Mandir in Tarapith.

Previously, the Mourakshi Express used to make a nightly halt at Rampurhat junction. Now, its route has been extended to Deoghar. Therefore, it is now possible for another train to easily make a nightly halt at Rampurhat instead of the Mourakshi Express.

আগে মৌরাক্ষী এক্সপ্রেস রামপুরহাট জংশনে রাতে থাকত...এখন এর রুট দেওঘর পর্যন্ত বাড়ানো হয়েছে। তাই, মৌরাক্ষী এক্সপ্রেসের জায়গায় অন্য ট্রেন সহজেই রামপুরহাটে রাতে রাখা সম্ভব।

The train from Patna reaches Dumka but does not extend to Rampurhat. But the Mourakshi First Pressenger and Sealdah Rampurhat MEMU trains have been extended from Rampurhat to Jharkhand. Although Rampurhat is the highest revenue-generating station in this region, there is no dedicated train from Patna/Delhi to Rampurhat, except for the state capital, Kolkata.
