Seriously? I think already 10 stops is high. Why you need a stop at Ramgundam for TN? Already I see 5 daily trains to NDLS from Ramagundam and why you need another train to stop here? Already GT, Himsagar and Andaman are stoping here and want TN also to stop? Please justify.

Is there a place/site where i can check seat/berth numbering layout for different coach configurations? Know that many coaches of same class have different seat/berth layouts. Will still be useful to have a general idea of most common layouts. I have seen layout pictures in TAAG or TT some years before. Are they still published in it?

Nope. It's not maintained better nowadays. When it was introduced it used to have a FC and 2S chair cars vestibuled. But all has been lost now and what remains is the Express tag which it dutifully maintains.

Not exactly. It's the only EXP train between MS and PDY!! :) Even though I said it's not maintained well, it's definitely not terrible. For its short run, it's sort of OK. Have seen many trains maintained very poorly than this.

I don't think you will get it confirmed. All trains in this week are running full. Anyway, why this is posted under Kanyakumari Exp.?

Regularly travel by this train from MBM/GDY to VM on weekends and I have to say this train is very useful for people who "reverse commute" from Chennai to Chengalpattu and beyond. Usually runs 30-45 mins with a delay compared to the timings in timetable which itself has a huge time built in for this short distance. One note of caution is to if u want to go to Pondicherry in this train, don't take this train unless you love trains or have patience to sit through the journey. Buses are frequent and faster comparatively. Usually stops at CGL for multiple crossings for around 30 mins and again at Mailam/Perani for Pallavan exp. crossing. But I always love taking this train instead of Guruvayur exp. which arrives at VM almost the same for the sole purpose of getting a good window seat or a full vacant seat to lie down and...
