Railway byepass constructed outside Garhwa road junction is in action since December 2021. As of now, due to byepass on surface, the traffic from Sone Nagar side to Garhwa town has to interfere the traffic (freight trains) coming from Garhwa road to Sone Nagar. This results in delay in trains at Garhwa Road junction, Garhwa Link cabin and Sigsigi trio stations.

Sigisigi station is the next station after Garhwa Road junction while going towrds Sone Nagar.

To overcome such delay, a rail over rail byepass for Garhwa road junction had been passed in railway budget long back. This rail over rail would take the traffic from Sigsigi station (the next station to Garhwa road junction on Sone Nagar side) to Garhwa town, without interferring the traffic from Garhwa Road junction to Sigsigi and Son Nagar junction.

Bed work for Garhwa Road junction rail over rail is in progress, 4th rail bridge is being constructed on Bhelwa river outside Garhwa Road junction to facilitate this rail over rail. Video of same is available on Youtube at link click here .

Third rail bridge had been constructed earlier on Bhelwa river to facilitate third rail line between Garhwa road junction and Sigsigi; this bridge currently serves as traffic for Garhwa road junction surface byepass for traffic between Garhwa town and Sigsigi and vice versa. The rail line on third rail bridge on Bhelwa river has been linked to existing two lines across Bhelwa river to interchange the traffics, and a new outer signal has been setup at the interchange point. Third rail line constructed on Bhelwa river third bridge has not been linked for traffic from Garhwa road junction due to some technical issues under the existing rail over bridge outside Garhwa road junction, and due to the same reason, the new Koel River rail bridge has not been yet linked for the traffic towards Garhwa Road railway station. The two bridges on Koel River outside Garhwa Road junction are yet serving as single rail line route in their respect.
