Rated twice as the best Pantry car of SR, this train serves mouth watering tasty snacks like Pazham pori, Masala vada. Yummy steaming Tomato soup and variety of options for dinner is too available.. Try the veg meals of this train.
Its is probably one of the few rare pantry cars of kerala bound trains which is managed by contractors from kerala unlike most other pantry cars where it is from north india hence food is more of local cuisine
I agree.. This train and even In NR's Kerala Sampark kranti express, the pantry contractor is the same person. from Thalaserry.. I travelled in 16345 from ERS to TVC and had a good chat with the pantry Manager... He said the contractor was ready to do whatever he can do to improve the standards of the food delivered in the train... but they have limitations that they are sometimes not able to deliver the best food due to problems like motion of train and all...
i travelled many times with this train CAN-LTT-CAN. The soup is ordinary, some chikki sold is below average, upma in morning was too watery.
How is the pantry at present sir? Over all is it a good train for railfanning sir? How far is it punctual at Shoranur? how wil be the priority enroute, please add special features also sir. Thank you in advance.
