Hello IRI members, I would like to know the quality of pantry food in this train? Last year when I traveled the quality was poor and the rates quiet high. I will be traveling on this train on friday(05/06) to NZM. Hope to bring you some live action. Thanks

If last year you experienced price and quality of food unbearable, this year it would not be anything better.
Now time has come to carry precooked food with us. Or carry market food from our own location. Ensure that perishable food you carry is consumed within 2-3 hours and other foods must have good pacing and wrappings. Carry some 'news paper pasti' ...
Still you wish to have 'Hot' food of Pantry, you order only Spirced Rice and curd.

saves you digestion trouble.
Fruits are best antidote to pantry food.

Thanks for your valuble feedback. The problem with this train is with limited stops we have to solely depend on pc food.

Maybe this is not really railway related. Experienced members who carry their own food can answer this. Which vegetable subzi is best for carrying on trains? I need a vegetable which would last 24 hours without spoiling? I have seen Gujaratis and Rajasthanis carrying food for long journeys and always wondered what is the subzi they carry. Thanks.

Food is worse. Sometimes you may even donot get the food you order. For me, he took the order but didnot turn up. I had to again went to pantry car and took the meals. The curry was full of water. It seems he had added some vegetables in water and oil( not water in vegetables ). It is 100% better to carry your own food, else purchase from rly platform.

These days, every other day, we are getting requests from members to allow email login to their FB-based IRI account. 10 years ago, we had given the option for users to login through FaceBook - in retrospect, this was a mistake. These days, apparently, users are quitting FaceBook in droves because...
