While the 1st phase of gauge conversion is going on between RTM and FTD, I decided to visit Fatehabad on Saturday 2nd March to see what exactly going on there. I took the 1 hr late running 52992 KNW-UJN Fast Passenger led by Mhow YDM4 6373.

I could see that BG line is laid...

on PF1 and lot of construction work is undergoing at the station.
As WR officials have committed that they will finish the gauge conversion by 31st March and will have a trial engine run on the same day, I hope they will be able to fulfill their commitment, however the ground work at various stations en route will take more time to complete.
