Ranchi Rail Mandal DRUCC Meeting Highlights 12 Key Passenger Amenities Demands

A DRUCC meeting of the Ranchi Rail Mandal was chaired by DRM Jasmeet Singh Bindra. Representatives from the Jharkhand Chamber of Commerce and railway officials offered important suggestions to improve passenger amenities.

12 Key Demands Raised in the Meeting:

1. Direct train operation between Ranchi and Lucknow via Ayodhya.
2. Extension of the Ranchi-Anand Vihar Terminal train to Jaipur.
3. Proposal to run a fast MEMU train from Ranchi to Garhwa Road.
4. Proposal to change the route of the Dhanbad-Ranchi passenger train and extend it to Mesra.
5. Extension of the Purulia-Villupuram train to Ranchi.
6. Change in the timings of the Ranchi-Banaras Vande Bharat train.
7. Extension of the Hatia-Sanki Express to Hazaribagh Town.
8. Proposal to run the Ranchi-Kamakhya train twice a week.
9. Demand to run the Ranchi-New Delhi Rajdhani Express three days a week via Barkakana.
10. Proposal to change the route of the Anand Vihar Terminal (Bokaro) train and operate it from Ramgarh (Barkakana).
11. Proposal to regularize the Hatia-Durg special train.
12. Demand to review the Flexi Fare policy.

Other Demands:

- Assurance to open the closed ticket counter at Gumla station within the next 15 days.
- Proposal to start porter booking facility through IRCTC.

The railways have assured positive consideration and action on the passengers' suggestions. These demands will prove to be crucial steps towards making railway services more convenient.
