proposal was given few months back and was implemented on 30th August 2024.

38490 was selected for the same as it is the first Locomotive allocated to ELS/Tatanagar in F.Y 2024-25 which coincides with the Centenary Year of Railway Electrification in India.

Thanks to the officials of TATA ELS, SER and other Railway officials for accepting the proposal and implementing the same.

With this 38490 becomes the first named WAG 9 of SER.

This locomotive is MUed with TATA WAG 9HC 33387 and currently doing duties.
