I think sir you are new to the train extension game it's not the first time a train has got extended it used to happen all the time. Sometimes it may be fair sometimes not but that doesn't mean you keep on insulting a particular group of people you want to criticize Railways then do it in a proper language here or on Twitter.
I'll tell you a story of a particular train called as 17225/16 Amaravati express presently running from UBL to NS daily. Early in the 2000s it was...
more... running daily from UBL to BZA then twice a week got extended to VSG and sometimes later biweekly to triweekly.
So till 2006 there were two Amaravati trains UBL to BZA 4 days and VSG to BZA 3 days both having PM at BZA in SCR zone with top notch cleanliness and maintenance as was with other SCR trains.
Then came a big twist in 2006 Railways budget when the then RM Miss Mamta Banerjee extended the 3 days a week VSG BZA Amaravati express to HWH by increasing frequency to 4 days and reducing UBL BZA Amaravati frequency to 3 days. As a result PM of VSG Amaravati got transferred from SCR to SER. And then we saw drastic reduction in the standards of cleanliness and maintenance in VSG Amaravati coz of shift from SCR to SER. But no one from either VSG or UBL or BZA made such crass comments on people of West Bengal or other parts on its route. Instead they kept demanding to increase frequency of both VSG HWH 4 days and UBL BZA 3 days Amaravati express trains to daily and finally got it done when in 2012 or 13 I can't remember UBL BZA Amaravati frequency increased from 3 days to daily. We criticize SER for bad maintenance but never look down upon the people of West Bengal and now even the UBL BZA Amaravati got extended to Narsapur (NS) and I didn't see anyone from BZA looking down upon the people of NS.
I travelled as a kid in 2005 in VSG BZA Amaravati express from VSG to LD in general class when it was under SCR at BZA CDO and later on in 2007 VSG HWH Amaravati express from VSG to UBL in sleeper class when under SER and the difference was day and night. The general class under SCR was much better clean and maintained then sleeper class under SER.
But on the other hand see the good it did places like Goa, UBL, HPT, BAY, GTL, etc got dedicated train to the Eastern India and vice versa plus BZA got additional train to Kolkata.
Balurghat CDO is a new one and in government institutions things take time to happen. Maybe coz of lack of manpower or equipments but it will improve when funds are allotted to it. Also since Malda Town is not too far away from Balurghat I think most probably it would be included in GN quota too (if I'm wrong in this sorry you can correct me). So if seats are not getting filled from Balurghat it will be good for Malda Town only. If you are so sure that Balurghat extension is a bad idea better contact MP of Malda Town and ask him to take action. You can file RTI and get boarding and deboarding figures of this train and see them yourself if occupancy from Balurghat is actually poor use that document and then contact your MP if possible and explain the situation to him.
please wait...Translate to EnglishBro, you seem new to this whole train extension game. Trains getting extended is nothing new, man. Happens all the time. Fair or not, that's just how it goes. But dissing a specific group ain't cool. If you wanna criticize the Railways, do it in a proper way here or on Twitter. Lemme tell you about this train, the 17225/16 Amaravati Express, used to run from UBL to BZA daily, back in the 2000s. Then it got extended to VSG a few times. There were two Amaravati trains until 2006 - one going UBL to BZA 4 days and one VSG to BZA 3 days, both with top-notch cleanliness in SCR zone. In 2006, there was a twist in the Railways budget. The then RM, Miss Mamta Banerjee, extended the VSG to BZA Amaravati train to HWH, making it run 4 days and reducing the UBL to BZA train to 3 days. Standards dropped after the shift from SCR to SER, but no one started dissing people from West Bengal. They just requested more freq for both trains and got it done eventually. Stop dissing SER, man. Remember, we're all in this together. Things changed, new routes got added, and places benefited. Chill out on the negativity, bro. Give Balurghat CDO some time to get it together. Lack of resources might be the issue. It'll get better with funds. And hey, maybe Malda Town could benefit from the train extension if Balurghat isn't filling up them seats. If you really think Balurghat's extension is bad, hit up the MP of Malda Town. Get the facts, show the numbers, then talk to him.
