Dakshineswar Skywalk: দক্ষিণেশ্বর স্কাইওয়াক ভাঙা হবে? মেট্রো কর্তৃপক্ষ যা জানাচ্ছে...

In 2018, a skywalk was constructed near the Dakshineswar Temple in West Bengal to alleviate traffic congestion and provide a direct, pedestrian-friendly route from the station to the temple complex. This initiative has successfully reduced congestion and allowed devotees to reach the temple without having to navigate the crowded streets. However,...

recent discussions surrounding a proposed expansion of the Metro service have raised concerns about the future of this skywalk. The Metro authorities have requested land for a crossover track to improve service on the Kavi Subhash-Dakshineswar route. This expansion necessitates the removal of a portion of the skywalk, which has been met with strong resistance from the state government. The West Bengal government has firmly stated that they will not allow the skywalk to be demolished, proposing instead that the Metro line be adjusted to accommodate the existing infrastructure. The Metro authorities have publicly denied any plans to dismantle the skywalk, emphasizing their commitment to collaborating with the state government on finding a mutually agreeable solution. They have acknowledged the need for additional airspace at the Dakshineswar Metro station for the proposed crossover track and are seeking solutions in consultation with the state government.

2018 mein, Dakshineswar Mandir ke paas, traffic jam ko kam karne ke liye, aur station se mandir tak ek direct, pedestrian-friendly route banane ke liye ek skywalk banaya gaya tha. Is se traffic kam hua hai, aur devotees bina road pe chalay mandir pahunch sakte hain. Lekin, Metro service ko expand...

karne ke plans ke wajah se, skywalk ka future uncertain ho gaya hai. Metro authorities ne Kavi Subhash-Dakshineswar route pe better service ke liye crossover track ke liye land maanga hai. Iske liye, skywalk ka ek part demolish karna padega, jiske against state government strongly oppose kar raha hai. West Bengal government ne strongly statement diya hai ki woh skywalk ko demolish nahi hone denge, aur propose kiya hai ki Metro line ko adjust kiya jaaye, existing infrastructure ko preserve karne ke liye. Metro authorities ne public mein announce kiya hai ki unka koi bhi plan nahi hai skywalk ko demolish karne ka, aur unka state government ke saath mutual solution find karne ka commitment hai. Unhone Dakshineswar Metro station pe crossover track ke liye additional airspace ki need ko accept kiya hai, aur woh state government ke saath consultation karke solution dhund rahe hain.
