Don't waste your money on Vande Bharat Express Shatabdi express food better than Vande Bharat Express food no dout even Howrah Puri Vande Bharat Express don't provide lunch. I suggest to you travel Puri Howrah Shatabdi Express

Agreed. This year Feb I tried to book in MYS - MAS VB from SBC the fare was close to 1k excluding bank charges, that too no dinner only snacks as the train reaches MAS by 1915 or 1930.

While going towards MYS from MAS no lunch only BF for MAS - MYS pax ( don't know about SBC - MAS pax ) lunch is provided for MYS - SBC pax during return

You need to get a few things clear. Whether breakfast/snacks/lunch/dinner will be provided or not, depends upon the "catering charge" you are paying during booking in IRCTC.

I am showing you the comparison between VB and Shatabdi:
Catering Charge for morning run:
(a)...

Rs 162 (for CC), Rs 195 (for EC) for 22895 HWH - PURI VB
(b) Rs 310 (for CC), Rs 420 (for EC) for 12278 PURI - HWH Shatabdi

The charge in VB is almost half in comparison to that of Shatabdi. The reason is, lunch charge has not been included in VB. Only breakfast is provided, whereas Shatabdi has both breakfast and lunch.


Catering Charge for afternoon/evening run:
(a) Rs 328 (for CC), Rs 389 (for EC) for 22896 PURI - HWH VB
(b) Rs 275 (for CC), Rs 385 (for EC) for 12277 HWH - PURI Shatabdi

Here prices are close-by, since the food items you get are now comparable. In VB you get lunch, whereas in Shatabdi you get dinner. Snacks is common to both. VB reaches HWH by 20:30, how can you expect dinner at such early time?
