When is it expected to start operations?
The Deccan Queen in LHB Avatar will run by Feb End because only Generator Car and Dining Car is remaining to built rest all coaches are ready
Expected to retain dining car designed exclusively for DQ (but I like the idea of it becoming more widely available... still long for days when my favorite train, 1 down/2 up Bombay-Howrah Mail used to run with one.
I also heard that DQ will have a push-pull set up, so it should make it a bit faster. However, it will also impact Vistadome option as there will always be a locomotive blocking the back view which currently only happens from CSTM to Pune

I guess there will be 2 dedicated rakes? How many spare coaches do they make usually? Say some coach has a damage, they need some spare coach with the same livery.
No, only 1 rake planned as of now with a few spare coaches. Just like it is right now with the ICF rake.
