** Creation of 3 brands i.e. Rajhdhani(1969), Shatabdi(1988), Superfast(1970s) class of trains, were totally justified over the age old existing M/E & Passenger (incl.EMU/MEMU/DEMU) class of trains.
** Since last 3-4 decades, every RM tried to create its own brand on whimsical grounds and become immortal.
** This journey began with creation of Janshatabdi & Sampark Kranti brand of trains, which were supposed to bring faster travel to non ac chaircar, & IISleeper classes. This appeared justified at that point of time.
