There is a line written on Ticket: "Departure may change and hence confirm before commencing journey"
Time written on Ticket get void and overwritten practically by updated schedule which may not show in irctc but NTES!!
To update Train's schedule as per NTES is valid coz train isn't gonna follow schedule mentioned at Ticket under such update (that schedule is wrong but IRI follow booking site when it's Train's Run & Station Board when it's Train's Regional Name..strange"!!

On a different note, what time does the railway follow? Every train has a WTT & PTT . It is stated that they follow the Working TT which may differ from the passenger TT. Any reason as to why there is a difference between the two in most of the intermediate stations ?
few old members (precisely old tlms) claim that in past ntes used to show error in schedule ,, though i in person never encountered any error in ntes,, and even if the claim is true then as per my observation gone are those days of errors on ntes. The trains religiously follow the NTES schedule only now a days. Even i do wish iri should update timings as per NTES now but then comes that "fever" thing which is very hard to cure.
WTT isnt shown at NTES or irctc or indianrail.gov.in but PTT is on display!!
Difference exist coz of : PF Constraint, Line Clearance, Usual Blocks, LC/LPC, Charting Station etc.
In case train report BT & has finished Station formalities, it will leave as per PTT not WTT coz if WTT was religiously followed then you may never find train's unusual BT arrival/run!!

NTES Error: Difference in train's Arrival/Departure between NTES & Actual. This has nothing to do with schedule but the mindset remain same here!!
Long back in NER (BTT-SV-CPR) when few times i has to catch train & check NTES & find train departed RT & with heavy heart i reach Station to connect next train...but then find that reported train hasn't crossed but is delayed!!
I guess the issue wasn't with NTES but Station reporting who try to keep run records clean & for NER i never trust ARR/DEP info fed at NTES!!
